UK GIG NEWS!

Heres a round up of some of the Nordic UK gigs going on over the next few months. Please check individual websites for more details and to check dates:

Firstly don’t forget that Kristian Harting, Danish singer songwriter arrives in the UK next week for a series of dates in Manchester and London, and we’ll hope to catch him at one of the gigs. Check out our ‘FEATURES’ page for more info on him.

Two Icelandic artists, M-Band and Good Moon Deer arrive for a short tour next week, starting at the ‘Old Blue Last’ in London on the 24th March and then heading to Brighton at the 'Green Door Store' on the 25th and Oxford Bullingdon on the 26th, and finally Norwich Playhouse on the 29th. For more info on the bands check:

Icelandic band Fufanu, who made a huge impression at Airwaves, come to the UK to support the Vaccines next week, and then for 2 support gigs (supporting Bo Ningen) at the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen in London on the 31st March and the 1st April. They’re also playing at the Sebright Arms on the 2nd April, plus they seem to have a gig supporting Blur at Hyde Park in June in a gig which also features Metronomy. Wow, lots going on for them, best visit:

Meadows Ever Bleeding from Sweden have a one off gig supporting Robert Bearsby also at the Hoxton Square Bar on the 3rd April. We might do more on this if we have chance

Team Me return to the UK for 4 dates supporting the Wombats starting at Bristol Academy on the 8th April, although some are sold out.

Katzenjammer arrive in the UK for a series of 4 dates in May, which should be fantastic, opening on the 8th May in Nottingham…

After their astonishing album Hvel was released last week, Árstíðir will make a UK appearance with just one date, but it will be stunning. A free open air gig at the King’s Lynn Hanse Festival @ King’s Staithe Square. We bow appreciatively to whoevers doing the booking for that festival….

Don’t forget Danish band Mew have some UK gigs, which in advance of their much anticipated new album, are likely to be huge. They play Glasgow O2 ABC in Glasgow on May 17th, the excellent Manchester Ritz May 19th, London Roundhouse May 20th

Just been sent details of a Todd Terje gig in Liverpool on the 13th June at St Lukes Bombed Out Church.

Oh and Bjork has announced that date in Manchester at the Castlefield Arena on the 5th July, but I think that’s sold out.

Finally (for now) Ane Brun has announced 3 dates in the UK in December, starting on 2nd December at Islington Assembly Halls, then at the brilliant Manchester Gorilla on the 4th December and finishing in Glasgow on the 5th December

Loads of detailed info there, so please please check artists websites to confirm dates etc!!

If theres a really good Nordic band / artist playing in the UK that we haven’t spotted feel free to give us a shout and we’ll mention it.
