To conclude today's update on some of the newer bands / artists we've introduced you to in the last year, we're pleased to be able to tell you about a new single from Swedish band Mama Sonic, who first came to attention in December 2015 with their debut single 'Grapefruit'.
Their new single is entitled 'Loranga', and the first thing that I always like about this band is that they have such an unmistakeable sound, and the track is another 2 minutes something of frenetic warped indie pop, which they describe as 'plonk'. Its been a great antidote to all the melancholy folk on my current listening playlist, as it bursts into life from the very start and keeps an inevitably high tempo. I'm looking forward at some point to something slightly more substantial from these guys - maybe an EP would be great for 2017.

I have no doubt that these guys will be appearing in Sweden at a few festival type events over the summer, so look out for them somewhere near you. In the meantime enjoy 'Loranga', and if you haven't heard them before try the first single 'Grapefruit' too.
