Introducing... Natalie Migdal with single 'I've Run Out of Words'

As we all know, there's no shortage of talented singer songwriters in the Nordic countries, but every now and then a new name makes an impression with a track that is that extra bit special, that has something which reminds us why it is just such a privilege to be able to listen to all this wonderful music. Natalie Migdal is a Swedish musician and songwriter who's worked with many established artists such as Ane Brun and Amanda Bergman, and is also the founding force behind the Stockholm string collective 'Migdal Strings'. We're now delighted to introduce her debut single 'I've Run Out of Words', 3 minutes of the most beautiful music performed with mostly just guitar, strings and vocals - there's some piano and trombone

'I've Run Out of Words' feels like it's handcrafted by the finest musicians, a song so natural in its' composition, where every delicate note is written and then phrased in a way that adds something to the song - the intricate flowing guitar with clever emphasis on occasional notes, the pureness of the vocals and then the subtlety in the introduction of the strings, which is just so beautifully controlled. The lyrics have a power to them that surprises me given the delicacy in the instrumentation, but then the gradual crescendo of strings helps add to their intensity. It's a really clever track, but above all, it's just really lovely to listen to.

This is 'I've Run Out of Words':

This is the 1st of 3 tracks which Natalie plans to release between now and the end of the year, and whilst it's clearly going to be difficult to match 'I've Run Out of Words', we really look forward to hearing them. We'll keep you posted as we head into the winter months.
