This is the analysis that no-one cares about, but if you take the Jury and Viewer (Televoter) votes purely from the 5 Nordic countries, then it turns out that the Nordic favourite of the Eurovision Contest was actually Switzerland.
Of course there were a fair few votes for fellow Nordic countries along the way, but the fact Switzerland did well shows the refined taste of Nordic countries given that it was a track that did well with juries, but not so much with the public vote.
Iceland were a narrow 2nd favourite, and the actual Eurovision winners Italy were 3rd favourite.
And although I didn’t quite tip the winner (although I did say that Italy would be hard to beat), I did predict that Germany and the UK would be fighting it out for last place, and I was so definitely right on that one.
