Cats of Transnistria 🇫🇮 - ‘Thunder as an Arrow’ (single)

I first featured Finnish duo Cats of Transnistria in early 2015 but haven’t written about them since 2019, which shows that either I’ve been haplessly unreliable in my posts, or the band haven’t released much material. Turns out both is true, with ‘Cats’ being away since their ‘Aligning’ album release that same year, but we all warmly welcome them back with ‘Thunder as a Arrow’, the latest single in the run up to their new album, which is helpfully entitled ‘IV’, as it saves me counting up where they’ve got to. It’s due to be released on 21st March through Soliti Records. The band feel that their ‘hibernation’ has inspired them to create something different, and it’s certainly true that ‘Thunder as a Arrow’ pushes the levels of intensity and darkness to new levels compared to their music 5 years ago, with ‘Cats’ themselves describing it is a ‘powerful and sinister’ song. It’s totally engrossing anyway and the album will make for interesting listening,
