Headwired (UK) - 'Carousel'

As always we'll try and mix up our Nordic features with some artists from local music scene's here in the UK and I came across this track from Headwired right at the end of 2024 - even if it was actually released earlier in the year. Now they hail from Dudley, which remains the largest town in the UK without a football league club (you don't get these important 'facts' in other music blogs), and the great thing about 'Carousel' is that it has such a great tune, and as we've established many times on these pages, it really is all about the tunes. But then there's the commanding vocals, excellent production and just such a good guitar noise from the trio that makes them really stand out. They've just headed back into the studio to record some new music, so we look forward to hearing future releases.
