It’s Monday morning, so here’s some timeless Nordic Indie folk to soothe the morning commute, or ease you into the start of your study week. Jonas Lundvall is Swedish songwriter, who describes himself as a musical ‘polymath’, which I guess is a ‘jack of all trades’, who’s been releasing music since 2017 and released 2 albums, 'Signs of Life' and 'Second Wind'. His Spotify page suggests his main influences as the likes of Brian Wilson and George Harrison, with a strong emphasis to the lyrical storytelling in his songs. Listening to ‘Second Wind’ again I also like the comparison, at least instrumentally and melodically, to Belle & Sebastian, although new song ‘A Sing to Sing’ will throw you back a few decades, a melancholy but gentle track which benefits from sensitive and thoughtful arrangements.
