CeaseTone - 'Full Circle' Single and Video

Another newish band we featured a while back were CeaseTone from Iceland, who we’d come across after they’d released a brilliant quirky, original sounding track called ‘Hey You’. It was laid back, clever and in a nice way it reminded us of Sufjan Stevens. Anyway a few weeks ago they released a new track and video, and we missed the release because we all pre-occupied with organizing gigs and stuff, but we’ll try and make up for it now.

The new CeaseTone track is called ‘Full Circle’ and its utterly splendid. It opens with a hypnotic electronic web of sound, followed by a clever drum beat and then an electric guitar is launched into the mix – the layers of different sounds are intricate and beguiling, and it a completely magnificent track. Anyway, its best if you have a watch yourself:

We reported last time that an album was on its way, and that’s now due in 2016, and we are genuinely excited about that. But those of you in Iceland have a great opportunity to see CeaseTone this week, as they're playing at Airwaves, including an off venue performance on the same day as Mani Orrason and Svavar Knutur, both of whom we’ve featured recently. Anyway for more information on those gigs have a look at their Facebook page.
